Rev. David
Winwood was unable to lead this tour and Rev. Dr. Mervyn Russell who
was travelling with the group at the last minute kindly took over the
leadership.
 Mervyn
has been a world traveller. He was born in Plymouth and was raised in
Eastbourne. He was ordained in the Methodist Church in Britain in 1968.
Spent 3 years in West Virginia earning a D Min. degree. He spent the
next 22 years in Canada as a minister of the United Church of Canada.
Mervyn spent the last
three years working as an overseas personnel in the Methodist Church of
the Caribbean of the Americas on the island of St. Vincent.
